1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Campaign Ops. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
2. The Campaign Ops service
Campaign Ops provides independent informational content, walkthroughs, checklists, troubleshooting suggestions, and device-local progress tools relating to Halo: Campaign Evolved. The service may be updated, corrected, reorganized, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
Campaign Ops is a fan-made resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft, Xbox, Halo Studios, Valve, or Steam.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Campaign Ops only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, bypass, probe, or compromise the website or its security;
- introduce malware, automated abuse, or harmful code;
- scrape or reproduce substantial portions of the site in a way that harms the service or violates applicable law;
- misrepresent Campaign Ops content as official publisher guidance;
- remove ownership notices or use the site to infringe another party’s rights.
5. Content and intellectual property
Original site design, organization, writing, and code are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use Campaign Ops for personal, non-commercial reference. No other license is granted except where a separate open-source license expressly applies.
Halo, Microsoft, Xbox, Steam, Valve, game imagery, names, and related trademarks or copyrighted materials belong to their respective owners. References are used for identification, commentary, and fan-guide purposes and do not imply endorsement.
6. Third-party links and purchases
The website may link to Steam, GitHub, publisher support pages, videos, and other third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Campaign Ops does not control their availability, content, pricing, purchases, refunds, accounts, or security.
Following an external link or completing a purchase is your choice and creates a relationship between you and the relevant third party, not Campaign Ops.
7. Informational content and disclaimers
Guides are provided for general informational and entertainment purposes. Games, patches, platform services, achievements, and hardware behavior can change. Although we aim for useful and accurate content, we do not guarantee that every route, requirement, compatibility statement, or troubleshooting step is complete, current, or suitable for your setup.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Campaign Ops is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and accuracy.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Campaign Ops and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, progress, profits, goodwill, or access arising from use of or inability to use the website.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Consumer rights that apply in your jurisdiction remain unaffected.
9. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Campaign Ops and its operators harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another party’s rights.
10. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the “Last updated” date. Continued use after a revision becomes effective means you accept the revised Terms. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties.
11. General terms
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without consent. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement concerning your use of Campaign Ops.
Applicable mandatory consumer protections and conflict-of-law rules are preserved. Any dispute should first be raised in good faith through the contact channel below.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the project’s GitHub issue tracker. Do not post passwords, tokens, or other sensitive information in a public issue.
